Crista Cullen Named as First Heraean Ambassador

Crista Cullen, the Olympic gold and bronze medal-winning hockey star, has  been announced as the Heraean's first official ambassador. Crista, recently retired after scoring in the 2016 Olympic final in Rio de Janeiro, is a prominent member of the London Sporting Club and is delighted to support our women in sport and business club.

The Heraean Kicks Off With a Bang!

The London Sporting Club launched our Women in Sport and Business Club, The Heraean, last night in Mayfair with a drinks reception and stellar discussion panel convened by TV sports anchor Jill Douglas. Barbara Slater, Head of BBC Sport, Vicky Gosling, CEO Invictus Games and former Olympic 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu made up a fantastic panel to discuss the changing environment - much for the better - for women in sport, the issues and challenges still faced and the way forward in front of a packed Club Room at Morton's of other movers and shakers in the business of sport. Other top sports stars present included Crista Cullen (GB Hockey Olympic gold medallist), Louise Hazel (Commonwealth Heptathlon gold medallist), former England women's cricket star turned commentator Isa Guha and Paralympic gold medallist Georgie Bullen, plus former F1 driver Mark Blundell.

Heraean Strikes Gold at Winter Sport Function

The Heraean enjoyed a superb second event last night at the London Sporting Club. Our women in sport/business club focused on winter sport following the Winter Olympics with a first-rate panel featuring curling queen Eve Muirhead, snowboarder Aimee Fuller, speed skater Charlotte Gilmartin and British Olympic Association CEO Bill Sweeney, expertly chaired by BBC Sport's Eleanour Oldroyd. Olympic 400m champion Christine Ohuruogu and skiing legend Konrad Bartelski were also in a packed room to enjoy the evening and network. Big thanks to our sponsors Totum Sport and CEO John Kelleher.
